What we LOVE about Nashville

Nashville is not only a paradise for music enthusiasts but also a haven for runners seeking a unique and vibrant backdrop for their workouts. With its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and friendly atmosphere, Nashville offers runners an unforgettable experience. In this blog post, we’ll explore the reasons why runners love lacing up their shoes and hitting the pavement in this iconic city.

  1. Scenic Routes and Green Spaces: Nashville boasts a ton of scenic running routes that cater to all skill levels. Whether you prefer the picturesque Shelby Bottoms Greenway, the tranquil Percy Warner Park, or the bustling downtown streets, there’s a route for everyone. The lush greenery, rolling hills, and charming neighborhoods make each run a visual treat, providing runners with the perfect balance of urban and natural scenery. Fun fact: Did you know the routes for our Nashville half marathon and marathon races are exclusively situated within downtown, making them the only races to provide a complete downtown experience?
  2. Music at Every Turn: For runners who find inspiration in music, Nashville is the ultimate playground. As you traverse the streets, the city’s musical heartbeat accompanies every step. Live music spills from honky-tonks, and local artists often perform in public spaces, infusing the air with the soulful sounds of country, rock, and blues. The rhythm of your run syncs seamlessly with the vibrant beats of the city.
  3. Supportive Running Community: Nashville takes pride in its friendly and inclusive running community. Local running clubs, events, and races provide ample opportunities for runners to connect, share experiences, and celebrate their passion for the sport. Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or a casual jogger, you’ll find like-minded individuals ready to share the joy of running in Music City.
  4. Diverse Culinary Rewards: After a satisfying run, Nashville offers a diverse culinary scene to replenish your energy. From traditional Southern comfort food to trendy, health-conscious eateries, there’s something for every palate. Indulge in a post-run meal that reflects the city’s culinary creativity and hospitality.
  5. Mild Climate All-Year-Round: Nashville’s climate is a runner’s dream. With relatively mild winters and warm summers, outdoor running is a viable option throughout the year. The changing seasons bring a variety of colors and moods to the cityscape, making each run a unique and refreshing experience.

Nashville, with its harmonious blend of scenic beauty, musical energy, community spirit, and culinary delights, is a runner’s paradise. So, lace up your shoes, hit the streets, and let Nashville’s unique charm propel you through an unforgettable running journey!

During the registration process, you will be asked to identify if you will be running with a stroller. After answering yes, you will then be prompted to choose your pace range. Those who identify as a running pace will be allowed to start before the general race giving them a chance to safely and easily get to race pace.
